With quality sushi and other food at a very reasonable price, this restaurant is an absolute MUST go to for eating japanese. So how do we know that SushiBo is so delicious and awesome? SuiteLife sent its own representatives to try it out!
PRE-ARRIVAL AND BASIC RESTAURANT INFORMATION
Before arriving to taste the food at SushiBo, we did a little research on the restaurant first. SushiBo’s main restaurant is located at: Ronda del General Mitre, 220 – 08006 Barcelona. One can arrive at this restaurant by taking the L3 metro line to ‘Lesseps.’
The sushi restaurant is open EVERYDAY (12:00-16:00 and 19:00-22:00). On Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant is open one more hour at night till 23:00.
Delivery is accessible from 13:00-16:00 and 20:00-23:00. It is also important to know that in order to get delivery, your order must cost at least 30 euros. For more info – just check out their website.
THE RESTAURANT ITSELF
So our quest of the series “Sushi Barcelona” began – as we said, our next stop was SushiBo – a cute little paradise in Sant Gervasi, very easily accessible by the green
metro line.
The restaurant itself is not very big but its very cozy which makes it perfect for a date, a business meeting or for an occasion when you want to meet a few friends and enjoy a quality conversation over healthy and tasty food. It does incorporate some elements of the typical Japanese culture and it has this very chilled vibe so we felt quite comfortable for the hour and a half we spent there.
THE FOOD
In order to get the best and varied experience, we got both the meat and vegetarian ‘menús del día” and some “Iki” beers. Included in the ‘menús del día’ were an appetizer, two dishes, and a dessert.
May we say, we were blown away! For appetizers, we shared delicious sushi (maki) and jiaozi (gyozas) which are dumplings filled with ground meat and vegetables. For our first round of plates, we received a Japanese tortilla with edamame (soybeans) and mushrooms AND sopa de miso. The Japanese tortilla was very well complimented with a sweet and salty sauce, and the soybeans and mushrooms were also excellent additions.
Second, round was chicken with rice AND yakisoba (noodles). The cook hit the spot with some steamy rice and tasty-breaded chicken.
Finally, for dessert we had chocolate mochi (Japanese rice cake). The rice cake came out us already warm and filled with chocolate.
The beers too, called “Iki Beer” were perfect for the hot weather in Barcelona. They were made with green tea and yuzu fruit to give it a citrusy taste. Needless to say, the lunch was incredible. What further surprised me was how extensive the menu was. Give a look of their menu.
AFTER THE LUNCH
After we finished our delicious lunch we decided to check on the shelf which is located on the other side of the bar so we started talking to the owner and some of the stuff, who were extremely friendly. What’s cool about SushiBo is that they offer various products besides the restaurant services – I spotted pretty awesome tool kit for making sushi and all the necessary ingredients one needs to try that art. Moreover, they told us they deliver 7 days a week within Barcelona and offer catering services which is pretty awesome.
FINAL WORDS
Frankly said, we loved the place – the atmosphere, the food, the nice conversation and…the few hours out of the office! Sushi Bo will definitely end up in our sushi e-book. We hope the “Sushi in Barcelona” adventure never stops!
If you are interested in buying some food from grocery section of the restaurant, you can also buy some of their products from their new store! The address of their second location (which doesn’t have a restaurant) is: Carrer de Villarroel, 204 – 08036 Barcelona. This second location is only open Tuesday – Saturday from 12:00-19:00.
Feeling like eating some sushi yet? Check out SushiBo and let us know what you think! And just in case you are not the sushi type of person – just stop by the “Food” section of our blog!

Sam and Ivo
