Barcelona to Montserrat: Photoblog

For this blog I wanted to share with you some photos of my trip from Barcelona to Montserrat Mountains. Here I was able to see an amazing view, enjoy a little of the history of Spain and great tasting wine. Montserrat is a beautiful Benedictine monk mountain range about one hour North West from Barcelona by train. Montserrat means “saw mountain” in Catalan and is given this name because of its unique formation containing multiple peaks. With the CastleExperience tour I took a bus and train from Barcelona to Montserrat and a private wine tasting. But taking a tour is not your only way to get up there, head to the Plaza d”Espanya train station and take the R5 train heading towards Manresa. On arrival you take another train up to the monastery. Either way you go its worth it to make the trip from Barcelona to Monserrat!
