Barcelona Party – Calling all Erasmus students!

It is time to party in Barcelona! I mean, the 1st of June has come and gone which also means that the summer is finally here! The weather could shape up though, please! Anyways, bad weather does not mean staying indoors. I say, stop blaming the weather and go and buy yourself an umbrella! It is time to get ready and hit the clubs in Barcelona!

There are always fun things to do in Barcelona and especially if you are a student. However, it can be confusing to know what Barcelona clubs to go to and when to go there. Don’t worry – I have the information right here!

If you are an erasmus student there is one contact detail you need to write down on the first page of your calendar or in your phonebook. I am talking about the contact details to SHAZ. Maybe you have heard about it already, maybe not. Anyways, if you are on the SHAZ’s guest list, the following great clubs are free: Sutton, Sotavento, Up & Down, Bikini, Shoko and Nick Havana.

Barcelona parties The manager of SHAZ just told me about the party-plans for tonight: 1) United University and Erasmus party at Sotavento! Yey! 2) Shoko. Shoko is a great Barcelona club located at Villa Olympicia and if you go there today you’ll get invited for one free glass of punch or one free beer. However, you must enter before 1.00 and be on the Shaz list.  Send and email to Shaz@barcelonaparties.com or visit http://www.Barcelonaparties.com

Not being too much of a party-girl here in BCN, I still can’t stop hearing about Nasty Mondays at Apollo. Every week I hear some of my friends talking about this place. And after doing some research, I now know that Nasty is and has been the place to be on Mondays since well..more or less than forever. Here, you’ll find a great mix of catalans, south americans and northern Europeans. Furthermore, the music they play is a great mix of indie, surf, sleazy etc infront of an energetic dance floor. Run by the same people, at the same place, there is also the weekly Tuesday event called Crappy Tuesdays. But from what I have heard, it is not – crappy. Actually, it is supposed to be amazing! So next Monday and Tuesday, if you decide to go, make sure to get there early as the lines are long! Directions: Closest metro L3 Paral lel

For the lovers of hot Salsa, Latin and Carribean music: come to Bikini and move your hips to hot rhytms and if you are addicted to commercial hits and pop music, then Nick Havana is the place to go! This club is at a perfect location in the middle of the city centre. The music and the happy crowd makes this the place one of my favorite clubs! Here, you’ll also have the free entrance with the SHAZ List before 1:00. Location: Rossello 208, Metro L3L5 – Diagonal

On Friday and Saturdays we can recommend you go to Opium Mar; located at Pg Maritim Barcelona 34 (Metro L4-Vila Olympica) What’s great about this place (well, if you are a girl..) is that you can reserve free VIP tables with bottles of champagne. Wop wop! The dress code is a little bit more strict than the rest of the clubs and I would recommend dresses for girls and collar shirts for guys.
